Hiya painters!
I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer and getting lots of hobby time in. Derek and I have spent the last three weeks preparing for, exhibiting at and recovering from GenCon! It was an amazing experience; we got to see so many old friends and make as many new ones. It is A LOT of work, but a great time and we are already signed up to go back next year. What could be better than talking about miniature painting and tabletop gaming to thousands of people over the course of 4 days without getting a single weird look XD Next up on our 2023 convention schedule is NOVA Open in D.C. followed by PAX Unplugged in Philly, so if you will be attending either of those be sure to stop by the booth!
And, while we were at GenCon, Kate and crew were at the office keeping pledges heading out!

Fulfillment Update
Stocking bins for the days picking!
Fulfillment is progressing nicely as I mentioned in the comments, and pledges are heading out the door every day. At the moment we are over half-way through fulfillment! I am very pleased with the progress considering the amazing support the Kickstarter received. The whole team has been working diligently to make sure you get your awesome new painting gear :D Packing speed fluctuates with the complexity of the pledge, but based on how fulfillment has been going, we have a few weeks left until we wrap up fulfillment, so if you have not received tracking email from BackerKit yet do not worry! I will post an update when the last pledges head out the door.

Please remember, we are a small business doing big things. This is our fifth Kickstarter and we have delivered well over than ten thousand pledges to backers in more than 80 countries. You do not need to worry about not receiving your pledge ;D

Stock Your Store Pledge Update
I have spoken to some of you already and I will be sending a communication via BackerKit with your details, but I wanted to put this here while we finalize everything. I have been working to modernize our retailer ordering process as well as moving store orders out of the pledge manager. It took a little more to get everything in place, but we now have a fully functioning retailer portal on the Game Envy website! This will reduce fees and make store ordering a lot easier as well seamlessly integrating with our current system for packing day-to-day orders!
Later this week you will all receive an email from BackerKit with an invitation and details on adding to your pledge. Thanks for your patience as we get the new system set up!

I am so excited to send this update :D I know there is still a lot of work ahead, but as of Monday, Fulfillment has started and pledges have been heading out the door.

The Fulfillment Process
Now that we are really in the thick of it, I wanted to share some information about how fulfillment works since we do it in house. I will put together an FAQ as well if necessary.
Doing Kickstarter fulfillment for multi-thousand backer campaign with 40+ unique SKUs in house is a little different than your standard fulfillment, so we do it in a way that reduces errors and gets pledges out the door as quickly as possible.
The most important factor in shipping a pledge is called a Pledge Group, and this, for the most part, is how we organize shipments. A pledge group is simply a batch of similar pledges. Where you live, how much you ordered or your backer number doesn't generally factor in. We do this in a way that a wide range of pledge types and quantities head out the door to keep things fair and moving along. That said, the first few batches heading out have been pretty simple to help the team get accustomed to the fulfillment process and to optimize the packing area.
The whole process to get the bulk of the pledge out the door will take place over several weeks. You will receive an email from BackerKit with your tracking number after your pledge has shipped. Please email [email protected] with any questions!
Remember we will be at GenCon 2023 in a few weeks, so be sure to stop by booth 3031 and say hey! This will be your first shot at getting some custom apparel I am working on :O

Hello my friends!
I hope everyone has been enjoying themselves. As we officially move into summer things here have been heating up ;D We brought in some additional hands to help prepare for and get us through fulfillment! If only they would accept payment in pizza like my friends and family during out first campaign hahaha. In all seriousness though, please give a should out to Kate for packing and building products like a boss and my nephew Zach for killing his first week!

Where Things Are
I mentioned in the comments last week we are waiting for the last of the rewards to process through customs and then through our freight forwarder's warehouse. As of today, everything has been cleared and labeled for pickup and some of it is in transit or delivered. All-in-all we have about 70% of the shipment in transit or in the warehouse with the rest expected in the next week and a half. This puts us right on target to start shipping at the beginning of July. As soon as we have all the colors in I will take some good pictures to show everything off in all their glory!
The boxes look a little worse for wear, but the new gear looks AMAZING!
We will be locking addresses at the end of next week, so if you need to update your shipping address you can still do that by logging into BackerKit.

Pretty Things!
With the new stickers and models finalized I wanted to share a glimpse of those. I was able to fit six awesome stickers onto the sticker sheet stretch goal. This includes three new The Order of the Miniature stickers and three others I think will be thoroughly enjoyed by all ;D

The Paint Party Pinata is as cute as we had hoped; Bobby Jackson did a wonderful job bringing them to life! While the physical mini will be holding the paintbrush, we also had her sculpted holding a stick as well as a stand alone Pinata, so all three models will be included in the digital delivery!
I cannot wait to see these painted up!

Game Envy Update
Things at the office have really been centered around fulfillment, however we have also been preparing for GenCon 2023!!! We were so please to be accepted this year and look forward to the crazy experience of exhibiting there :D Be sure to stop by booth 3031 and say hey!

Hello Friends,
It has been a minute since the last update! Things here are good, and we are starting to get some more sleep XD I wanted to check in and keep everyone up to date on what has been going on and what is happening next :D
BackerKit Pledge Manager Update
At the moment we are at just over 95% survey completion which is great! We will be locking surveys tomorrow and charging for add-ons and shipping so we can finalize postage negotiations. We will however leave addresses unlocked for the time being until we have all the pledge components in hand. Speaking of pledge components...
As soon as we have all the pledge items in hand we will lock addresses and start the shipping process. Baring any issues that may arise, we will begin shipping pledge rewards next month! Also I will be sharing pictures of the final samples of the pin, sticker sheet and miniature hopefully in the next update... they are looking great :D

I was intending to send this update out yesterday, but alas, we took a trip to the hospital to welcome in the new babe :D We are doing great; both my wife and the chonk are having a snooze, so I am sneaking to my computer to send this out XD

This is a quick update to let everyone know the test group went off without a hitch and the BackerKit Pledge surveys have now all been sent! You should all have received your survey link, so be sure to check spam folders if it hasn't arrived. Below is a small FAQ about BackerKit and the pledge manager.
Where do I select my colors and options?
In the BackerKit survey you will be able to adjust your pledge level, select configurations and colors, purchase add-ons and let us know know where to send them.
What email address is my survey going to?
Your BackerKit Survey is sent to your Kickstarter email address. This is the email used to log into your Kickstarter account.
I haven't received my survey link, what do I do?
There are a few options here! First, be sure to check your spam folder. Second, if you used Apple Pay you may need to contact BackerKit support or email us to have your email updated. Finally, you can visit the pledge finder and enter you Kickstarter email.
How long will the pledge manager be open?
We will begin locking addresses in approx. 3-4 weeks when we are expecting to have all the pledge gear in hand. That said, you will still be able to complete your survey after that you will just be placed at the back of the packing queue. You supported the campaign and we will make sure you receive your rewards.
